1. Create Cylinder; choose parameters
(6 height segments, 3 caps, 18 sides)
2. Convert to editable mesh
3. Edit polygon
4. View top; Ctrl-click to select multiple polygons
5. [Del] selected polygons
6. Hit F3 (toggle) to view object without edges
7. Rotate Viewcube to check if cup is finished

JOINING TWO OBJECTS USING BOOLEAN (UNION)
1. Create two objects 2. Place objects together (must intersect) 3. Select one object (known as operand A now) 4. Click [Compound Objects] [Boolean] 5. Click [Pick Operand B] 6. Click the other object. 7. Select Reference, Union. 8. Try to move the new object. If it moves as one, then the two objects are now one. (Try the other effects - Subtraction, Intersection, Cut) |
